I remember reading about them releasing fish up there a couple years ago and was wondering what the odds were of fish coming back. Paper didn't mention anything about the ladder then.
I know the Puyallups have had success in bringing silvers clear back up to Lake Kapowsin as well.
Yes I'm white, I just want to bring this to everyone's attention what some tribes are doing. It's obvious we aren't going to shut the Indians down, may as well try and work with them. They have alot more leverage in some areas than the state does. They might be good people to have on your side for certain projects.

I have to agree with you. Just like us there are good natives and bad ones. We just have to work with the good ones. Yes! They do have more leverage....if we can agree with them on way to bring back native stocks and increase fishing opportunities more power to them and us I say! I do keep in mind though some of the incredible waste and poor practices that are often mentioned though. frown Just can't give up.

I too would like to see all nets removed from the state of Wa. and I get upset when the Indians fish when the conditions call for some common sense. But I also believe that the vast majority of them have the resourse's future in mind and try to protect and advance its well being .

Thank you puyuallps!

I think the Indian fishery is one of the smaller problems we have with fish in Puget Sound and the surrounding rivers.

We need the gamies to start checkin boats at the launches when they get thru fishin, like they do when we come back from huntin.

How mant times have you heard somebody at work braggin about gettin over the limit at Sea Que, durin the silver run or caught over the limit of bottom fish.

Hell ! If you guys would get as upset about the lawbreakers you know that are hurting our fishery and worry less about somebody snaggin a damn chum we might be a little further ahead.
