Hey, another milestone! I got the paint and chine on the boat. All is finished and sealed with adhesive (3M goodstuff), some silicone, and a good coat of epoxy resin, not necessarily in that order. Tomorrow I flip it over and lay in one small area of fiberglass reinforcement, a second coat of spar urethane on some wood areas I sanded down, some fresh paint on the stripping apron, add the drain plug, and she is done!

Here is a shot from the bow showing the chine. It is a bit dusty, but she shines pretty bright when she is clean.


Any suggestions for a name? The only one I thought of was a bit lame, Dogfish Dory. Help me, please.

You don't need to (want to?) name a driftboat. That's for, like, ships and ocean liners and stuff.

Looks great buddy. I hope you remeber the honey holes we fished last year cuz my favorite you can only reach by boat. It seems you have put a lot of blood and sweat into the boat. I bet there will be a lot of fish in it to pay off all the hard work.
