The last two reports I've read were that Hoodsport fishers were getting more dead fish than live owing to the intense netting and ensuing carcass-dumping, and Kennedy had gone dead, maybe because of the recent flush of fresh water.

Anybody have other reports? I don't want to drag my lazy arse all the way over there for nuthin'. I can catch plenty of nuthin' launching out of Edmonds wink sleep .

Thanks, and regards.

Finegrain,

There are still lots of fish at Hoodsport.

I boated it over the weekend, and there were many willing biters.

There was a constant stream of dead fish floating by with the tide though.

I am not sure if it can all be blamed on the nets, I saw many fish drug in backwards, flopped down on the rocks, generally mistreated by Bubba.

Saw some very interesting techniques, the best was hollowcore pencil lead slipped on the mainline with a sizeable hook directly below. There is a fine touch to this rig, Rip, Rip, Rip, fish-on.

There are still many bright biters, go green.

Hey, I saw a banky fall in last Wednesday, don't know if he was a loud mouth, sure was quite after falling in though.
I fished Sunday with my boys. We had a good day with lots of biters. Snagged one, caught a bunch and lost a lot as well. And the dead fish are from all the carcasses the netters are dumping 100 yards offshore - I think they are drifting in. We anchored next to a section on the bottom that must have had a few hundred dead fish. That wasn't from sportsfishers. Still, it was sad to see the snaggers. I had several fish that made multiple jumps trying to free themselves. What a blast!

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

You mean if you throw stuff in the canal, the tide will push it onto shore?? rolleyes Who would have thought that could happen?

Nothing like paying stiff waterfront taxes on property that is covered in dead chums because of a commercial egg fishery.
