i started fishing around 1330 and went until dark, started at tank bridge and worked my way all the way down to muck creek(that is bone dry) i didn't hook a single fish, i was throwing pink/pearl corkies with light green yarn, saw one indian netting(right in front of me, what an ass) pulled in at least two every time he dropped for about 20min before he tore ass back down river, very chrome, very dark back. in the few hours i was there the water level rose about 1-1/2ft and went from a few leaves to WHOLE TREES floating down stream, land slide i assume. short of jumping the netters at the boat launch, what can i throw in this area to pull some out of nisqually? there here, just can't connect!

Joe,
Still a little early for the chums on the Nasty. Im sure there are a few around but when the fish are there it really doesnt matter what you throw at em, ive seen all sorts of combos work.
For a change of pace try a 1/4 maribou jig under a bobber, either cerise, green or orange. That is if water color permits.

Tight Lines

Joe,
Not to be a smart a$$ but you have 2 options with the tribes netting, go fish when they are not there (they net Sunday noon to Wednesday noon) or just adjust your attiude. There gonna net and there isn't a damn thing that we can do about it so its up to you how you react. Having said that I do not support them, just don't go when they are there. Like RL said its a few weeks early for the Nasty to have a fair amount of fish in it, if it even has a good run of chums this year. If pink isn't working for ya go chartruese, that seems to be the Nasty color.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff laugh laugh

Where does a guy get a range pass so he can legally fish at the tank crossing bridge?
Chums after Thanksgiving on the nasty is a good rule of thumb.

The range control office is where you need to go to gat a pass, thier ph # is 253=967-6371. They will issue you a pass for you and your vehicle.
