On #35 Hotshot's should i change out the tripel hooks with Siwash hooks. If so do I change out front & back or just the front & what size swivel do i use.Or would I be better off just glueing the bottom of the tripel hooks to prevent brake off's.I have a lot to learn about all this.
Thank's what

I don't usually change them out unless I'm on a river that requires it. While some people think one style or another of hook matters (treble vs single), I haven't been able to tell a difference in hooking effectiveness. I hook them with both, and I lose them with both.

With Wiggle warts, I like to just replace the middle hook with a swivel and a siwash. Use a pretty big siwash, like a #2/0. One the #25 hotshots, I replace both hooks. For big kwikfish, use 4/0 through 6/0's, and use a swivel for the connection to the hook eye if you can.

Keep any hook sharp, and you're most of the way there. Keep your line reasonably, but not too, tight when you've got a fish on, and that'll take care of most of the rest of it.

I like to fiddle with changing hooks when I've got nothing else to do, but I don't kid myself that it's that important.

Can't beat those Gamagatsu EWG's . (extra wide gap or EWGod those are sharp!) These hook's look scary. Cabela's has 'em. I usually get the 2's and 4's
