today while fishing my zipper for the first time this year, i busted my lamiglas...was reaching down to tail a nice 14# chrome silver, the damn fish gets one last burst of energy, boogies back toward the whole(my back to the river), SNAP!! i still had the fish on for another 10 seconds till it finally busted my line and i lost my tip, i think about 3 eyes worth...i bought it at boaters world a couple months ago but can't find my receipt....should i have any problems???

hey phil just take it back to lamiglas, i broke mine about 3 weeks ago took it in and about 20 minutes later i had a new matched up tip and i was on my way, no receipt

i broke the top two eyes on my lamiglas today. Casted and my line landed up in a tree right above me, thought id just give her a little tug and it would come out.. well it did come out just not the way i hoped, my line snapped all but my swivel and well the swivel came back and busted the ceramics out of the two top eyes

Ditto. Just take it back to the store in Woodland. It's likely they will replace it on the spot. However, be prepared for a long, loud lecture from the custormer service rep. He enjoys giving his customers the 3rd degree before he hands them a brand new rod......

Been there done that Broke the tip off my Kenai King walked into Lamiglass with it and they replaced the Tip, that was about ten years ago.

Maybe I should have raised more waves as it was supposed to have had an unconditional lifetime replacement warranty, but they sure didn't replace it.

Hope you have better luck than I did.

They won't give you a problem. Been there, done that. Just stopped by Lami in woodland and it onlt took a couple if mins to relpace it, Call ahead and make sure they have your rod instock, just incase they happen to be out that day. Great customer service.

Take it back to lamiglas. If they really want you to buy more of there roads, they will fix it for you.
You might also try talking to them about some new rod or something. You know, buddy up to them, be nice as you can.

No need to buddy up to them. They will replace the tip. Dunno why Art thought he should get a whole new rod, cuz he broke the tip.

good news!! didn't have to go to woodland, just down the street to the boaters world where i bought it and after purchasing an extended warranty for $10 they replaced it on the spot..would have cost me ten bucks in gas not to mention the drive time to go to lamiglas...big thumbs up to boaters world and lamiglas, they will see more business from me...i thought my new rod was cursed at first...my buddy(who's not the greatest angler) hooked a few and i didn't touch a thing but after a few changes in location, i ended up bringing home 3 chrome hen chummies.

i busted my rod recently and brought it back with no problem. if the cust service guys gives you a lecture listen to what he says. they are just trying to show people how not to break rods. i think it is great they are educating us so we can help them keep their costs down. i broke my rod on a fish cause i had it straight up in the air when the fish got close to the boat. from now on i will have my rod at an angle instead of straight up in the air. good company and new and improved customer service!
