I have a Lami Espirit which is a baitcaster but near the tip of the rod they use the type of eyes which look like spinning rod eyes turned upside down. Anyway three of these are almost pancaked against the rod, combination of putting the hurt to some Chum and pulling on rocks. They are pancaked where the rod really bends and puts alot of strain on the eyes. Anyone know what Lami will do for me in this situatioin of smashed eyes.

Oh ya and this is a 9 footer which for some reason they do not make anymore in that series.

Lead, my guess is that they will probably fix for you under warranty. I've had good luck with them so far. You can print a workorder sheet from there web site and send it in to them. Include a check for 10.00 for shiping to get it back and it should be a done deal. Little on the slow side, avg. 3-6 weeks or more (still waiting) If they want more money they will call you Good luck!

Cool I was not sure If they fixed eyes or not. I have busted a few rods in half over the years but never had any eye damage.

Yeah, you better ship it in if you want to avoid a tongue lashing lecture on how to use a fishing rod from the Lami Nazi at the counter.

Dan, is it all that bad. I've never had a problem with stuff being repaired via mail? Do they give everyone the third degree. I for one would not take it at the cost of a rod. I've heard this before. Give me crap and I'll walk. Fix my rod and would let them know where my bus. is going from there on out! I always sent a quick letter explaining the reason for failure. So far so good, but like I said I've heard that customer servive was and wasn't great at the front door. Might depend on who you talk to or how to talk with them?

They will retie new eyes on it for you. I just got back a rod from them cause I broke the eyes. You will get a little talken to but hey, you will most likely be getting it repaired for free.

Part of it is from my own abuse so if they fix it for free I can handle the rod care pep talk. I do not like those style of eyes though and will try to shy away from them in the future. I like the 3 prong eyes, they take a licking and keep on tickin.
