Has anyone tried the penn spinning reels. Iam reffering exactly to the penn 4300 SS. I believe that these reels are the best reels on the market for the cost (approx. 70$). This particular reel has quickly became a favorite of mine. Its black and gold finish is "good looking " as well. The Penn 4300 is a perfect reel for those of you who fish for those steelies in pretty much any condition. Small stream shortlining, bobber and jig, drifting eggs from the bank or sidedriftin in the big waters, these reels are great. They hold a tremendous amount of 8lb test and cast as smooth as any other spinning reel I have used. The titanium drag plate offers a sensitive drag with good fish play. It has a quick remove spool so interchanging spools is an easy task on the river. It has a graphite body which can take a beating as well. The extra spools are only 12$ ( a great stocking stuffer). I love these penns. Made in America mind you these reels are also available in different sizes. So if your looking for a reel for christmas get a penn 4300 SS. You wont be dissappointed. Happy fishing!!!

Do you work for Penn or do you hold their stock? laugh

Penn indeed make some high quality reels that last. I think their SS series spinning reels, especially the larger ones, are great saltwater or brakish water fishing for larger species.

Have you tried Budweiser? Its Ice cold beachwood aged. Brewed from select grains, yeast, and hops. It comes in 12, 16, 22, 24, and 40oz. packages. Also makes a great stocking stuffer!

Guess who I work for wink

Oh yeah.....I love my Penn reel laugh
