Iam curious on what all of you think about indian programs as briefly discussed on the other topic (hatchery closures). With the state cutting the hatchery programs would this be a good solution? For me, giving the hatchery programs over to the indians might not be a bad idea but I would like to know some other opinions and why?

The first day the Tribes are in charge of the fish I have to buy a liscense to fish for is the day I will declare myself a soverien entity and claim their laws have no effect on my harvest

Up to this point the Tribes have been very reluctant to "mark" their hatchery fish. Lets face it, it's much easier to gill net all the fish, claiming some are their returning unmarked hatchery fish, then it is to try to fish selectively for only marked hatchery fish.
