Lately I've been holding back from using the pink worm under float because I've never hit a fish with one before. Rich G. told showed me how to rig it a month ago but I've always held back in fear of using something new. However, while tossing jigs today to no avail I nutted up and threw a 6" power worm on a jig head and nailed 2 fish in as many casts. Unfortunately the big one came undone under my legs. However, I AM A TRUE BELIEVER. What a great feeling. Now it's going to be tough to go back to jigs..... Funny how things work sometimes. Sometimes a little switharooskie does the trick I guess. Also, I noticed that I received a lot of "semi take downs." I know I wasn't hitting bottom so could this have been fish swiping at the worm but getting just that "only worm." It was hanging quite a ways off of my hook so I shortened the worm so more hook was exposed and was skunked for the rest of the day. Go figure.
Merry Christmas to all,
Cuttie

As many before you who were sceptical you now will never go on any steelhead fishing adventure without a few pink worms.

There are only three things I use on a regular basis when gear fishing and they are Worms rags and jigs. I use drift bobbers and hardwear from time to time but probably only about 10% of my time on the river.
