Perhaps you should read all of it. Your own article says he is'nt a Marxist. Just another dictator.
By the way you do know we were on Castro's side at first don't you? Do you know what happened?

I think he's trying to say we should have gone after this guy instead of Iraq.

Ya know, you "almost" have to give old Castro props.
First of all- He is still around Second of all- He has not really harmed anyone Third of all- He does not take any crap from us
He has screwed America over several times and got away with it ( like when he cleaned out his prisons and sent the convicts to the united states) amoung other things. Did it all on his own. little outside help.
He has been there a long time doing it "his" way with little outside help. Don't care for him but ya know, he is still there and I think we tried to get him for years.

Hi BW. I never claimed he was a Marxist. You read the article. He just deserves to be hung in there with the rest of the monsters, whatever they prefer to call themselves. I call most of them deceased. HOOray. There goes another one of those streetsweepers. Lord they put up a lot of salty dust. Fortunately it blows away and annoys the downwinders. Thank you for the Cascades.

Sard,
You continue to be a better C&Per than reader, much like Rory, unfortunately. Your comparison is invalid, but the story is nonetheless important. Friends of mine went to Zimbabwe about 5 years ago, first to visit, but ultimately retrieve, their daughter who had undertaken an internship there. She was still a pre-med at the time. And the situation there has only become worse.
Mugabe has all but destroyed his country. Sure, it probably wasn't right, having descended from British colonialism, that the white 5% of the population controlled almost all of the arable land in the country, however prosperous it was. Still, Mugabe has succeeded only at destruction, rather than reform. That's pretty typical of megalo-maniac dictators.
So what do you think of a major part of the world, wherein the people were materially better off under a system of empire colonialism than "democratic" independence? Better yet, what would you do to improve conditions?
Sincerely,
Salmo g.

yeah ...you wont hear from sard for any kind of actual conversation or thought.. especially thought....its way easier to bash the folks that think than it is to think for yourself.....
it is a situation not unlike much of central and south america where colonialism set up profitable yet highly unfair and immoral agricultural systems and it is very hard to change that without alot of pain and economic loss and it often leads to some sort of maniac in control eith for the reform or to fight it and protect the satus quo

Ive only been here since last night and I already love this site!
Hey Sardonicus, If you want to pass around wingnut blog articles and have group gripe sessions about those "evil jooish UN commies" coming to takeaway "yer shootin irons and wimminfolk," I suggest Gunsnet or any of the many Firearm Discussion sites. You will find many friends there.
EDIT:Mugabe is the reason I don't buy Cheetah brand ammunition.
