Click! light bulb just went off. Yes I do. Thats why them fossils were selling for so much. 80 bucks was just over 40 for them.

It's Clinton's fault.
(I think he moved to Europe).

Our dollar is low against the gbp because of the fiscal policies of this administration, our debtor nation status and the war in Irag.

Forbes blames the latest slide on a slowing housing market. Our dollar is pretty much never as strong as the pound. The Brits opted out of the Euro because they knew full well that they would basically loose money by tying their economy to the EU. Upset a few of the other countries that were hoping to bolster their currency by associating with England. Also, there's countries like China that are heavily invested in the American dollar that have been gradually liquidating there American assests, oh yeah, and let's not forget our enormous (record) debt.

58 percent of the total American debt load is being carried by overseas investors. Simple math says thats not a good thing.

We will get rid of Bush in 2008 and someday, somehow, the hemmoraging of national wealth in Iraq will end. But our becoming a debtor nation will be a longer term problem.

Americans, on average, now have a negative savings rate. Being in debt has become perfectly socially acceptable. It has become the norm.

The Chinese and Japanese have a high savings rate. (Maybe KK has the numbers bookmarked? Is it as high as 10%?) In our country we place a higher value on high current consumption than on saving and investment.

Guess which countries have more money available for capital investment?

And most people aren't really all that concerned that the government, under Bush, is running record deficits with no end in sight.

As a nation we are borrowing and selling off assets to sustain a high consumption level. "The American Way of Life" we call it.

As individuals and as a country we would be much more likely to sustain a satisfactory long term consumption level if we had a high savings rate financing a high level of capital investment.

In part the weak dollar results from the judgment of the world financial system on our long term prospects.

The vertabrae is for collection only. Probably illegal to sell it anyways.
The Crab is very spendy but I will not sell it. Its a Portunites Triangulum very rare in the lincoln creek formation and as far as I know un-documented where I have been finding them. The claws are from Calianopsis Clallamensis which is a type of mudshrimp that lived 28 million years ago. I sold the one pictured in the third pic for 80 bucks. The one in the fourth for thirty. Other localities wordwide have chalky poorly preserved specimens. These ones are mostly replaced with Calcite good solid fossils very well preserved.

It is illegal to sell fossils from Washington state lands. So I collect mostly on private land I have permission to collect on.
