Republican petition drive manager Tom Randall pleaded guilty to molesting two girls under the age of 14, one of them the daughter of an associate in the petition business.

Republican campaign worker Mark Seidensticker is a convicted child molester.

Republican Mayor Philip Giordano is serving a 37-year sentence in federal prison for sexually abusing 8- and 10-year old girls.

Dasen, 62, who is married with grown children and several grandchildren, has allegedly told police that over the past decade he paid more than $1 million to have sex with a large number of young women.

Sorry Salmo G. I plead human fallibility. the ichty' one posts one of his inanities and I feel compelled to react. Actually the whole West thing makes me sad. The man, as a politican in Spokane's city government, was a refreshing change from the do-nothings of the past. He settle the Riverfront Square issue expeditiously and of course stepped on the Cowles' toes in the process. That was the end of him. Just a matter of time. Since they own the local news rag they set out to filet him. And did. He of course helped. He seems to have made one of the standard mistakes sexual identity challenged folks make. I suspect you are too young to remember the Chicago Tribune' headline the morning after the '48 presidential election. It read. "Dewey Wins". The real elected president called the Chicago Tribune the worst newspaper in the country. Guess who owned the Chicago Tribune at the time. Yup Cowles Publishing Co. Leading edge liberals. Interesting side note..tangent...whatever. I just read somewhere the other day that Oklahoma had become the 5th state to allow the death sentence as punishment for certain sex crimes. I could have my facts slightly off (name of state, number of states). But as heinous a crime as child molestation is, killing doesn't seem like a suitable punishment. I would lean more towards letting them be the house "maids" on death row for the rest of their natural lives. I mean really, nothing says fitting punishment to me better than letting these guys play the "bottom" to pissed off lifers with nothing left to care about. But I suppose some group would consider that cruel and unusual or too costly.
