Cheney, Rove, Libby Sued by Former CIA Agent Over Identity Leak
July 13 (Bloomberg) -- Vice President Dick Cheney, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove and former Cheney assistant I. Lewis Libby were sued by a former covert CIA agent who claims the men conspired to illegally reveal her identity.

Valerie Plame, who worked at the agency's headquarters in Langley, Virginia, and her husband, former U.S. ambassador Joseph Wilson, filed the suit today in federal court in Washington. They are seeking unspecified financial damages.

The couple's suit accuses Cheney, Rove, Libby and other unidentified officials of violating their constitutional rights by conspiring to ``discredit, punish and seek revenge'' against Wilson for publicly disputing statements made by President George W. Bush in his 2003 State of the Union address in an effort to justify the war in Iraq.

``The lawsuit concerns the intentional and malicious exposure by senior officials of the federal government of one such human source at the CIA, Valerie Plame Wilson, whose job it was to gather intelligence to make the nation safer,'' the suit said.

Plame and Wilson plan to hold a news conference on the suit tomorrow in Washington.

The Plame game, here we go again. The covert extrovert or vica versa. Should be funny.

It's a start, sort of like Capone being tried for tax evasion instead of his more notable crimes.

Don't forget the multi-year, multi-million dollar witch hunt that finally turned up a blue dress with a stain on it and articles of impeachment.

Yeah KK, the veracity of the president serving is of no consequence. He can lie and it will be made little of, if he is a Democrat. Hell, the swimmer lied and they have made him a Senator. His compatriot lied and he too has made the Senate.
