Anyone here belong? My Grandfather was a member up in Poulsbo or Bainbridge or whatever, so I was wondering what it's all about.
Is it just a bunch of old ladies trading lutefisk recipes?

I'm Norwegian and Swedish. The Swedish side might prevent me from being a member. BTW, Lutefisk sucks!!! Maybe if I wasn't forced to eat it when I was young I'd have a better appreciation. Lefse is good though.

I was up there last year doing a Tollcraft get together. When signing in the guest book I admitted to the ancient Norsky, at the gate, that I was Swedish. "I'm sorry" was his reply.
Got Lutefisk? "October" was the reply.
Never did find the bar.

If you know any Chamberlins in Poulsbo, they are my cousins. ...but on the Swedish/Danish side.

That's "Chamberlain."
That was the weakest, sorriest excuse for a personal attack I've seen in quite a long time.
But then again, I shouldn't expect anything more out of a weak, sorry excuse...

Oh, yeah...Minnesota...imagine that
I was a member in the early 80's.
Good, cheap drinks in the "Troll's Den". Lots of red Norwegian faces... Yeah, I know, IIRC, the last King of Norway used to visit Poulsbo regularly until his health failed and he died in the 70's. At least that's what my Grandfather's 2nd wife told us...She liked to brag alot.

I'm going to the lutefisk dinner at Sons of Norway hall in Aberdeen tonight with my grandparents. The smell alone turns my stomach but spending time with the old folks is worth it. They're in their 90's. My grandpa taught me how to fish. Oh well, I guess it's swedish meatballs, potatos and lefse for me!
