This AC/DC tune is no. 1 in the category of guitar and bagpipes favorites, right ahead of Sky Pilot by the Animals.

Jesus.. this whole thread makes me happy.. Was " am" an old AD/DC freak from back in the day. Saw them in Vancover B.C while I was at Ft Lewis in either 78 0r 79. Who knows how freaking good they would have wound up being had Bon lived ( I mean, they are the greatest rock and roll band ever as is ) Angus no doubt the hardest rocking real talent guitar shredder that ever lived.

Thanks, That was fun !!

" Givin all she's got.. weighing in at 19 stone "..

Very cool.

One of the AC/DC concerts, and on of my favorite shows was the 'Monsters of Rock 1991'

AC/DC
Metallica
Motley Crew
Queensryche
Black Crows
Pantera

Around 70k strong at the old Mainz, Germany airport runway. INSANE!!! Unbelievable line up! Still remember being up against the rail in very front and getting squeezed as the crowd pushed forward.

It was unbelievable. AC/DC actually made a live album from their performance there. Queensryche was OFF THE HOOK. Out of the 4 Metallica shows I have seen that was the best by far..The show was right around "Black" was released and Bob Rock permanently F'd up Metallica forever. I listened to two songs off that "Black" cd and threw it out the window…
Everyone put on an awesome show. It almost had a battle of the bands feeling to it…Metallica even played/sang an AC/DC song..I think it was highway to hell? Jason did an AWESOME solo for Whiplash..Reminded me of Cliff...

You're killing me. laugh

You'll probably never see a show that measures up.....so if you wind up getting tix to any other concerts, I'd be glad to take them off your hands to spare you any disappointment. wink

Wonder what a show like that would cost now? That one was $50 I think?

"$50"?
A show like that would most likely be at least 10 times that price - if you could still get all those egos on the same bill. AC/DC is probably the ones least changed by fame, IMO

I am sure the prices would be sky high. It cost $62 just to take my daughter to see Hanna Montana at Key Arena....She's 6

Excuse me rambling on about this show but good memories come flooding back in...Just called my Bud in Atlanta and reminisced and laughed our a$$es off talking about it.

When Metallica played the AC/DC song Jason Newsted ran around on the stage acting like he was Angus.. Banging his head, doing the duck walk, spinning around on the stage floor... Even James gave a little laugh at him and said a few expletives...

Ahh, the good old days. Hell, just to get to the concert we had to take two cars, 9 head bangers. One of the cars didn't even have brakes. So my buddy drove his junker and I followed. We only got up to maybe 25MPH and the concert was about 30 miles away. I had to follow real close behind him so when he slowed down I would just hit his bumper and use his car as my brakes. When we got there we had to go up a hill to get to parking, but the guys behind us were cool and let us use there car/bumper as our rear brake... If I remember right I think we just left the car there and everyone got rides home or hitched home???

To be 20 and in Europe again...

Road trip to a show ?? Try driving from Boise to Eugene in a van thats plastered with Dead stickers with 4 guys and two chicks and JUST SEE.. if you can get through Burns Oregon without getting pulled over and searched 2 days before the show and country fair...

" The reason I am pulling you over is.. well, because I felt like it "..

Yes yes.. back in the day.
