So we have big plans to spend Saturday thru Newyears around Forks... SolDuc, Bogie etc. But with the recent rain, the big blow coming through tommorrow, , we are wondering if this trip should be cancelled. Thoughts from those of you that hang out up there a lot? We are not adverse to bad weather, after all this is winter steelheading! but just want to fish!

We were going to head to the Oly Penn also this weekend. But rained out again, 2nd time in 3 weeks. Right now if my fishing buddy could get the time we would head to the Clearwater in Idaho. Huge run, nice fish, they are going to or already have raised the daily limit. If you have 5 days and the Penninsula is washed out I would head East young man.

I'm sure there are people on this board that could get you hooked up with logistics and lodging.

Idaho sounds like a good trip, but too much for us to get together at this point. I think we are going to the Pen..... maybe more drinkin then fishin at this point! Hopefully we will get a least one decent day out of it.....

Bob, we did make it, Saturday through New Years, and despite all the dire predictions the weather was great, for Forks that is.

Only problem, very few fish! I guess the hatchery run is just not going to materialize. Netiher Gutz or I touched a fish, but it was all worth it when our buddies 11 year old daughter pulled a 34x17 nate out of the SolDuc! What a beauty.

Glad we didn't le the weather scare us away this time.
