I am wanting to put some kind of permanent anchor system on the bow of my boat. I surfed the web for hours looking for what I want but havent found it yet.
What do you use and if its cool may I ask for a link??
Thanks Dan

Forgot to add its for a 16' jet boat and on the rivers.

Dan,

I bought my anchor set up at www.3riversmarine.com , and it is the best one I have ever owned or used. If you fish the Columbia at all, they have a Columbia style anchor that fits in the same bracket as the anchor can. You can also reach them at 1.877.661.1575

If you anchor in hard rocks (not just gravel) then I think you will also NEED this type of product:
http://www.ezmarine.com/page2.html

Call this guy at ezmarine and he has good info for you too. For Columbia River or Willamette River anchoring this type of anchoring system is a requirement.

If just gravel, like on the Skagit, then visit Holliday Market in Burlington and see their anchor "cannon" (anchor holder - fits on your boat - for convenience) that houses their "cylinder-with-feet-type" anchor that fits inside the anchor cannon.

We have BOTH of the setups I've mentioned, and have learned the hard way that we need both.

People DIE on the Columbia R. when they don't know how to anchor properly.....just ask the good folks at The Fishery (marina) below Bonneville...they've seen it happen too often.

I second the 3 rivers setup. They build them there also. Very well built unit.
