Clap of thunder nearly threw me out of bed at about 4:00AM this morning, lost power about 5 minutes later. Came back on about 15 minutes ago. Just don't think of thunder and lighting this time of year.

We (in Snohomish) had lightning for about 1/2 hour starting somewhere around 1:00a.m. Nearly horizontal hail pelting the windows and skylights too. Tough getting back to sleep.

Lost power for about 5 hours last night--that's pretty short by island standards (was without juice for 14 hours last time around). Didn't get any hail or even much rain--in fact I remember watching the stars twinkle overhead as the lightening sparked off to the north. Sure looks like the Stilly took another shot of precip, though...http://waterdata.usgs.gov/wa/nwis/uv/?site_no=12167000&PARAmeter_cd=00060,00065 cry

Not just rain in the Stilly. We've been watching most of the snow disappear off the lower elevation of White Horse. Very mild today, going to have some more snow melt.

Didn't see any lightning, but played soccer last night at Greenlake. Boy was that fun. Sideways rain and rivers running through the field. Similar to winter steelheading, but doing it in shorts.

Skies were lit up pretty well around here. No off in the distance either, they were cracking right overhead out this way. Went on for several hours here, about every minute or so it seemed like. Made for a fun night laying in bed looking up ... dog wasn't really happy about the whole thing though.

We had alot of hail at my house. After it stopped, I picked some up that were nearly 1/2 inch diameter!
