I am going to purchase a couple of them to have on the boat. I have found Three brands. Sospenders, Stearns, And mustang. Do any of you have a preference and why. I am leaning towards the SOSpenders right now. Thats only because of the price . The mustangs look pretty good.

I use a Stormy Seas vest. It is basically a fishing Vest with a CO2 inflated vest. Very comfortable and functional with all the pockets of a fishing vest.

I would have to second stormy seas. They are made by stormy seas. www.stormyseas.com
I haven't sem the vest, it looks nice but i have seen and worn the work jackets and they are nice. Not auto inflate but I wouldn't want that anyway.

be sure to check stormy seas web site. Their jackets and vests are NOT coast gaurd approved PFDs. Read the section entitled "Important notice" on the site for more info. Sounds like they make some good products.

I've got the Stearns and wear it all the time when I'm fishing. I wish it had more pockets. I've never pulled the CO2 but have always wondered how well it would really work. One of these summers I'm going to put on all my stuff, wade into a slow section of water and then see how well it works before I really need it. Anyone ever actually pull the rip cord?

I pulled the co2 on my Sospenders to experiment and it inflated almost instantly and heal all the air for more than 24 hours with no loss untill I deflated it. Seems like a good setup.
