Hit Manchester this morning and did pretty well. Fished down between Yukon and Southworth. Caught about 20 shakers between 8am and 11am and anything you could throw at em. B-2's, Hootchies, Coho Killers and Bucktails. Went to a green/silver Coyote spoon about 11:30 and nailed a nice BM about 2 minutes after I got it down. The De-Liar (my digital scale) weighed it ar 6lbs 8 oz. No where near that brute that Juggernaut nailed the other day, but I'll take it. Juggernaut, how did you wind up today? Hope you got another pig!

How about a Manchester North report? Kingston that is. Figured I might have a better chance of catching one with all you aces working mid pond. Actually I was only given dispensation for a couple of hours in the morning before honey dos so I fished the front yard off Apple Tree. Green glo with a glo hootchie at 100' produced a nice BM in the first hour. No other hits or shakers. Saw no keepers in the few hours I was out and there were quite a few boats. However, not wanting to go back in immediately, I thought I'd do a little C&R on flounder (there are some really big ones) for an hour or two. Later, in a huff to move to the top of the drift, I reeled my dart in stat and before I pulled it out of the water a very large salmon (I know....they always look bigger in the water than in the boat) came up behind it and then proceeded to calmly cruise around my drift boat. At first I watched amazed and then my instincts kicked in and I carefully raised and then cast the jig in front of the fish who quickly came over to check it out again. As I was about to recast it to him again I thought to myself, "What am I doing?, I've already got my limit". So I watched him swim off. Very cool; that and the eagle working the area too. All and all, a fine day on the pond. laugh

Heh UM- Didn't do quiet as well as you. Caught some shakers but nothing worth keeping. Talked to one other guy who lost a 8-9lb'er he had hooked on a gr/sl spoon. I guess that was the ticket today. Helps to know the area.... Good to see you out there. May have to ask for a guided trip one of these days!

UM....Nice Job out there today. Wish I could have been out there with you but was stuck in the bigger pond. Did you get any pics of the fish? Drank too many at the ole Island Saloon the other night, unfortunately only had one night in. Like DR said, looks as if we might be in for the long haul.
Keep on Fishing!

Hey Dangerous,
Wish you would have been out there today, it was a beautiful day. Sunny and warm, more like May than January. found a lot of fish down in front of the sssailboat past Yukon Harbor. fish were suspended a bit too. I was doing circles down there in front of the Sailboat in 115-145' of water but was running the Downrigger with only 100 - 110 ' of cable out! Talked with Jack and heard there were Springers caught at the mouth of the Kalama and at Prescott yesterday. Floyd was fishing down at Beaver/County line today and will get a report tomorrow. Think you will get any Springeer fishing this year? How is Hi-Hium looking for you??
