To anyone willing,
I am traveling back to the Olympic Peninsula from Spokane (WED-THURS)and was going to go the highway 2 route so that I could visit some friends in Skykomish. I am asking for some info on the Skykomish River, I have never fished it even though I lived in Gold Bar for a year while working at the Pass. Here is my questions: 1). If anyone would be willing to take me fishing at there spots for a trade at mine on the OP? 2). Or if some one would be willing to give a access point for bank fishing, it doesnt by any means have to be a secret spot just one that I can test my skills at. 3). A fish report of how things have been going for you guys that fish this river daily and what to use, can fish all ways that there is. I know that the water is bad now from the report that I got from my non fishing buddy who lives near the river, would go by his house but was thinking down near Index, Gold Bar, or Monroe as I have seen people fishing those areas before. Was shooting for Thursday morning, and was leaving Spokane on Wednesday so any info within 24 hrs would be very much appreciated. Also I can be reached for a private answer at my e-mail address on the info page and as I said before will trade for a day of fishing on my side , I just am a dedicated fisherman and have to go fishing any chance I get. Thank you in advance to all.

As you're coming west on US 2, turn left in downtown Sultan. The turn is probably about 200 yards past the Exxon station. That road immediately crosses the Sky and there's a state parking area on the left after you cross the bridge.
Also from US 2, turn south on Lewis Street in Monroe. Just before you cross the river there's a park on the right. You can also cross the bridge there and park on one of the side roads to fish the south side of the river.
Both are well known spots.
