I plan to head out this week to try for a legal strugeon. Have fished on the Nasselle several times with no legal fish. Can someone help with info on other places to try with a 16' Lund. What are best tides, bait and set up?
Thanks!

I would check water levels before heading out. Most rivers are blown out. The Chehalis is good. Try Preacher's Slough, Blue Slough and down by Cosmopolis. I have heard the best bet for boat fishing these dinos is anchor up just above a deep hole and drop your bait on the up current upslope. Sturgeon tend to hang in the current break created by the hole just below the lip and eat what ever washes in. Willapa Bay has some decent fishing but I have never fished there. If fishing in a river I hope you have a break away anchor system. Way too many deadheads come down big rivers that can pull a boat under by the anchor rope. The mouth of the Union river sees fish every nowe and then also. The Skagit and a few other Northern rivers have decent fishing. Just check out the Fishing and Hunting lies. Hope this helps.
