I was just taking inventory of my plugs, and was curious as to what other people's favorite plugs were. My favorite plug is the metallic pink with black head, old school Wart. What is your favorite style and color of plug for steelies?

I never met a plug I didn't like.

Seriously, though I assume we are talking steelhead. The best producing plug I have is a 35 HotShot in Met Pink. This year the Mag Warts have rocked, mainly red herring bone and chrome herringbone. Go figure. The green and blue pirates are what I think I'd bite if I was a steelhead though.

Well, I'm the fourth vote, and they're all pretty close...

I am not a plug fisherman anymore but I remember the Metalic pink tadpolly and the orange skeletar tadpolly being my favs when I use to fish this way.

I'd go with the Dr.Death or McRibb,Chrome/Orange skeltetor with black head and side high light's.When all else fails the blue chrome pirate will prevail.Good luck,

The last two years I used a K-12 gold or gold with red hot tale. The K-12 blue harring bone had some good days to.

Half to go with the blue red pirate tadpolly in chrome, seems to always get the job done. Close second the chrome tad with black sceletar, black stripe on the back and a red bill.
Gotta love those two tads. I heard heddon droped a bunch of the good colors though.

Dark Purple Tadpolly, half black. Hard to find. So hard in fact, I started painting my own. Killer Summer Run plug. If I can catch fish with this, anyone can.
