I'm going to be up on Vancouver Island later this week with the wife and friends and was wondering if there are any local rivers with any decent steelheading this time of year. Any info would be appreciated.

your best bet would be the Stamp/Somass system at port alberni. It has been a slow year but there have been some fish in the last 10 days. Most of the better sthd fishing out of tofino is by boat/plane access. On the stamp you can bank fish between the falls pool and the gun club.
