Hey Gang,

Just checking in to post a few pics...

Unfortunately the day Dangerous and myself were going out for a little fishing, the weather keep us on the beach- 8-12 foot seas and 40-60 kt winds.. so we just had to suck down the mirco brew, enjoy the weather instead and watch the bikinis.

Myself and Dangerous Dave- Diamond Head...

I really don't know what to think about the guy shooting this next picture. Appears there is an optical illusion of sorts... look really hard and you'll see me in a few seconds. It is true, a picture is worth a thousand words, but in this case 10,000!

Ain't life grand?

We'll keep you updated... outta here tomorrow.

Downriggin'

Thats funny DRiggin, good thing you had that glass ready. I just heard on the evening news that it sounds like you guys are headed for Korea, not the other place.
I have been to the place you are at now and did have a chance to catch lots of MahiMahi and some small tuna, had a marlin on for about 30 seconds until it jumped.....then it was gone. Too bad you did not get the chance this trip, but maybe on the way back.
Good luck to you and keep in touch, its great, this internet thing, being able to comunicate with you all miles away. Stay safe!

I went out on a boat from the north side of the island with three very seasick other guys. We did well 7 Mahi Mahi and a Skipjack Tuna. I had a great time on Sunday. The Captain took pictures to put on his web site so when he updates it I'll post a link as I have no digital camera (save my money for new boat whenever we get home).

Are you sure you're not catching anything? It sure looks like there are a lot of "land fish" over there!

Her is a big marlin for you guys to drull over it was not caught on the Island that you are on but the big Island of Kona. This picture was from a few years ago and the guy that caught it was payed $20,000 for first place in a derby they were having. Over there they go by total weight in 2 or 3 day derby some guys had 3 or more fish At there weigh in. this guy had 4 but only weighed in this on 733LBS.
