my father in law just bought a 18' motion marine with a 125hp merc on it, he got a smokn deal on it. it has a prop on it, and i think the boat will give miss budweiser a run for her money, it really is unsafe fast, anyway he is looking for a pump for it, i think the motor is a 99'- any help would be great......

I think a new one would run about 1500- 2000 bucks, That is probably the best bet. You might find a used one that would fit if you got lucky but a new one that has never been abused will not give you any surprises. Be sure to get a stainless impeller.

From what has been posted here lately (and the other BB's lately) Outboard Jet has re-engineered their pumps and the newer ones are a lot more efficient than the older models. I do not have their phone number but they are located in San Leandro, Ca. Might be worth your time to give them a call and chat.

I believe Specialty Manufacturing's number is 510-562-6049. When I priced out a pump for my engine the price was about 1500...maybe a little more.

Locally, Wooldridge has always been very helpful with questions regarding jet pumps.
