I saw on the reports page that the oxbow ramp doesnt appear to be useable?

Can someone elaborate on whats up?

Really, really torn up and the last high water did a number on it. It looks as if someone did a little rocking on it today ... but it's still pretty ugly. You can try, it's not like you'll fall off a cliff or anything ... but if you go down, you may not get back out

I think DNR or State maintains Oxbow--Our $10 access decals that we are required to have on our vehicles sure go to good use of these well maintained "launches" eh.

Some of the launches have become plunkin spots -trucks parked in drive thru's, they look at ya like "HEY IM FISHING HERE". "Ya well no offense IDIOT THIS IS A BOAT LAUNCH"

It's fixable ... looks like some anglers tried to do a little to it and it might be passable when dry, but as it gets muddy after any rain, I certainly won't be trying to pull out there.

The Oxbow campground is DNR's, like all the other state agencies they got their budget slashed and likely won't be fixing it soon. The access stickers are for WDFW ramps, but the few birdwatchers that buy them, and the pittance WDFW gets from license fees, doesn't begin to cover the cost of maintenance - it would take $1000 licenses to even begin to cover the costs of running fish production, management, habitat protection, and access programs. Don't expect things from the state anymore unless you are willing to pay for them.
