Several buddies and I have planned a trip to Sitka this June and I was wondering if anyone has ever stayed in the Piper Island Cabin in Tongass National Forest? Thanks.

Mykissed, I haven't been to that cabin but I have used a couple others a little south of there, they are nice cabins that usually have basic supplies, pots, pans, bed frames (no mattress or bedding) and table and chairs, the cabin at MacDonald lake even has a boat available, the general rule is leave it as good or better then you found it. I hope you've already reserved the cabin, if not, do it soon, prime time, June-July-August won't be available much longer.

I have stayed there before. Beautiful cabin. A bit of a journey to good fishing, but a beautiful place to camp.
