Just caught my first fish (19" cutthroat) in high end of Siuslaw...on a nightcrawler. Had no luck whatsover with recommended Steelhead lures. Zero! I know they are there, but not a nibble. What say?

I've been having a slow steelhead season this year. Most of my friends haven't been doing well ether. I would suggest try drifting some eggs or sand shrimp. If you can see the fish they can see you. Stay low and sneak up to the fish. I try to keep a bush or rock between me and the fish. If i can't do this try casting from your knees.

id suggest using the pink worm, you will catch any kind of trout on it plus steelies, use procure prawn/shrimp scent too, deadly!!
