I was at Three Rivers today, while in their tackle shop I noticed the pre-tied free-drift leaders. Has anybody seen these rigs tied up,at TR? I'm asking because of the knot they had tied on the bottom hook. It's not tied like the traditional double hook leader,it has a loop at the end, which the bottom hook is looped thru. It looks like a slick way to tie the leaders, but I can't figure out how the leaders are tied. Any help?

I'm no expert on "stinger" setups however the bottom hook doesn't usually get the bait, so just tie a dependable knot on the bottom that you can tie quickly, then add your cheater, and then tie your egg loop knot on the top hook where most fishers add their bait.

Put the loop through the bottom hook first than snell the top hook on with a bait loop!

You thread the top hook on and let it dangle. Thread the cheater on and run it up by the top hook.
Thread the bottom hook on the leader wrap the leader around the hook shank, then back up through the eye of the bottom hook, through the cheater, and through the eye of the top hook. Fold the tag end back down the top hook, then snell the top leader.

take one hook and run your line through the eye down the shank now make a loop about one and a half times the length of the hook running your loop end back through the eye fold this end back down the shank then begin wrapping with your leader end and finish the knot.now for the tricky part thread the loop through the cheater and th eye of the hook and then pull the loop over the end of the hook.shoot me a p.m. and I might be able to talk you through it over the phone.
