I recently installed my pro troll black box and It seemed to be working fine the natural reading was about .680 when I started. I trolled for a while and had the applied voltage set at about .610. The readings seemed to be jumping around a bit from down to .580 up to .650. Then about ten minutes later the readings went up above 1.000 and even higher. Why Does anyone have any suggestions. The first thing that I am going to do is run a wire straight to the negative on the battery.

When you are running the applied voltage do the numbers jump around a little bit?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

I have found mine to jump around a little too. It usually settles down though after a minute or two.

If you keep on getting sporatic voltage changes make sure all your connections to your battery are clean or new.

Seems to me I am reading and hearing a lot about jumpy voltages with these new boxes...

I have the orginal Scotty BB and haven't had a problem yet.
