Guys,

When I first got on this board, I made the unpardonable sin of asking about someones personal zipper stream. Instead of roasting me, someone was nice enough to explain what was happening by email and gave me information I was looking for in return for my consideration. Because of his kindness I not only learned something but I made a great new friend who later invited me to join him at one of his secret fishing holes. Why not send that email and make a friend.

Thanks again GS.

Steelheadfisher, you're new to the board, so you only got slightly flamed. It is considered very poor etiqute to ask about small rivers that don't need the added pressure. You might want to follow the suggestion of deleting the topic.

the fact that people wont reply should tell you something.
I would just say that you can now see the attitude of most people on this board and you have learned something. Go fish it and good luck.

Mooch,

Well said Sir. I had a similar experience more recently when I came aboard. Somebody was graceful enough to share a tid-bit or to,...atleast enough to get me excited but still giving me sense of adventure and exploration.
I'm just thankful (and lucky I guess) it happened that way.... I had not read the Ten Commandments of the board yet.....

Geez this kina response almost gives me the urge to become a reporter for fishing and hunting lies magazine and do a big ol article for them on the skook. Wouldn't that get your panties in a bunch.
I guess I'll go fetch myself a nice cold one and think about it a little before I do.

I wouldn't do that but you guys with a chip on your shoulder deserve it. Happened to my favorite waters. More people on yours less on mine. Hmmm never thought about the other guy getting shafted. All waters are fragile when Seattle comes bebopping down here to go fishing.

Everytime this "zipper" thing comes up, say, once a week, it always seems that the best advice is to just ignore the thread. It will be off the page in a matter of hours.

Instead, folks keep bringing it back to the top, making it stay there longer and longer.

"Let sleeping dogs lie"...

Fish on...

Todd

P.S. Is the Skook REALLY a zipper?

Steelheadfisher the skook has many good holes. I ve had good luck using very light gear and small baits, also if your a bobber fishermen this river really has awsome water. My first chioce would be to start out toward Buccoda by the dam many excellent holes. From the dam work your way down, put your backpack on and walk to the back of the of some of the public use lands there are some really nice holes back there. Also good water down by the mouth were it dumps into the Chehalis, which is over behind the ball fields in centraila{Borist park }and some descet hole behind Godfathers pizza At Riverside park in downtown centraila.Hope this helps.
