There are several places to fish from the bank out of Longview on your way to Cathlamet. Use sandshrimp or fresh smelt. Squid is good at times as well. You'll need 8 to 10 oz sinkers to hold in the current down there.

Try the Chehalis, Skagit, Snoq, Union River Mouth, and coastal bays. I fish the Chehalis and have good luck there. About an hour from Tacoma, fish out at Friend's Landing.

the chehalis isnt a bad choice, bank access at friends landing and they do pretty well there, alot of spots to fish if you have a boat. there still doing pretty well down there

Getting ready to take the North West Jet into the Snake this weekend. Running between Glens Ferry and Bliss. Some Sweet holes in there with some "prehistoric" slicks in the area. Bait will stink up the boat for sure!!!! Would like to try the Columbia some day....

Want to trade a trip?? Hells Canyon???
