I've done the drift but can't remember the name of the launch. Its the one off to the east of 101 north of Forks, just upstream from Tassel Cr., you go down hill take a hard left pass some new water drainage work, a few homes and to the launch. Some times we take out at the steep boat launch by the bridge. 5-6 river miles down?(need the name of this one too), other times go all the way down to lyndeckers 8-10 total miles?....Thanks c/22

Not sure exactly which one your lookin for but....the runs I've done are from the hatchery (sappho) down to maxfield rd launch (bridge and its fairly steep). From maxfield down to Whitcomb-Dimmel take out, which is the one I think your looking for. And from whitcomb-dimmel to the sorting yards, then there is still a chunk of river below the sorting yards down to lyndecker. Sappho to maxfield approx 6.5 -7.5 miles, maxfield to whotcomb-dimmel approx 4.5-5 miles, and whitcomb-dimmel to sorting yards approx 6-7 miles. Hope i helped a little.

The Whitcom Dimmell launch is the one by Tassel Creek, but I do not know the name of the take out by that bridge.

Thanks, the 1st. one is Whit.-Dimmell could'nt remember the name. As for the rough/steep one by the bridge it must be the "sorting yard launch" I'm guessing. Its off 110 @ the Quillayute Rd. intersection, to the West of Forks....c/22

Well there is a boat launch just a little ways past the steep one at the bridge. It is down the Goodman Mainline next to the 'Old timers' fishing hole'. I think that one is the Rayonier launch, but I could be wrong. I get confused with the names on those two.

The Lions club put in a nice takeout for the Dimmel drift. Its a little below the steep rough takeout at the bridge"sorting yards". Much easier on the vehicle. Nice parking area. beer

It's called Norm (something or other) Park. Nice rough takeout.
