Ive been wondering about this for several years and since the rivers are now closed I'll run this by every one here. Take all the hooks off your plugs, go to a river of choice, do a days drift. This way there is no one on the river jockying for the holes, no bankies to disturb. On the drift you can accomplish several things. You can tune all your plugs, see how they react with various line diameters and water depths, and the bonus being which ones get a take down from fish. There is nothing in the regs. about this, it just states that fishing is prohibited in rivers that are closed. This is probly going to raise some eyebrows but, your not fishing because you have revmomed all the hooks and you have none in your possesion. Lets here your opinions on this subject.

I have had thought like this, would be kinda fun but I think the wardens would write you a fat ticket for harassing wild life. The ticket would include a court appearance where the judge would probably ram it home and break it off.

Interesting

I have a feeling the Warden would still right the ticket.

An interesting thought ...

The very reason we were not cited at last fall's protest was because we had no hooks and weren't technically fishing ...
