Decided to go down to the edmonds pier today after my 2 periods at high school. I caught 4 nice rockfish, one was about 4 pounds or so, let them all go, it was fun just killin time.

Yea I know, that leaves me with a lot of time on my hands, Ive got to be to school by 8:30 and Im outta there by 10:20, I only need .5 credits to graduate and that equals one class, so Im gonna be doin a lot of fishin between now and june. Ive worked hard for it though, Had to do a major senior project from september to january and I had to present my work to panelists who judge you and If you dont pass. you dont graduate, and I luckily passed mine even though I procrastinated through most of it cool

Say, were you casting to the tire reef or the breakwater? Also, were you using plastics on leadhead jigs or real bait like herring/shrimp/squid? I've never caught any sizeable fish off the Edmonds pier.

Kudos to you for gettin the senior project out of the way.

Hey fishmaster what school you got to. Sounds like the same kind of project I have to do, only I get the pleasure of having to spend 20 hours working with a mentor related to my topic. I chose steelhead fishing. So I have to spend at least 20 hours on the water fishing with my mentor. oh darn, who ever said "homework" isn't fun.

I graduated last year and had to do a senior project too. It's 30 hours for us, and i worked with the Pacific Coast Salmon Coalition. Basically i got to work at the hatchery when the spawners came up, as well as do some other things to help fish habitat. I didn't know other schools did senior projects, I'm glad we're not the only school to do that. Congrats on having an easy final term. Fish on

My project was 40 hours with a mentor and you had to log everything that you did, and write a reflective auto biographical letter,
I was fishing on the far end with little pieces of herring and I would let it sit on the bottom and slowly reel it in until they hit.
