Guys i need help. Becouse of the need for loan approval the future wife and i have moved up the wedding date to march 29. She wants to get hitched and have dinner at the roche habor resort. They have a great little church right there and a hotel to stay the night. the problem is they do not open the big resturant up to the public until the next weekend so we will be eating at the lime kiln cafe. heres where you can help. Does any one know what the in side of this cafe looks like? or have a picture from some long ago trip? If this place can not be recomended highly by you guys then how about another place on the island that can handle a party of 20 for dinner and the socilizing and drinking that will acure in the aftermath. remember both families are made up of irish,german half breeds.

Congratulations, The wife and I got married in that quaint little church on the hill too a few years back. Romantic place. You should have the whole island to yourself this time of year too.

Anyway can’t comment on Lime Kiln Café, heck I didn’t even know there was a café over there. But another nice spot is near Sportsman Lake called Duck Soup Inn. It is an excellent gourmet restaurant that is in a nice setting near Roche Harbor, but might be on the pricey side. As I recall it’s only open a few days out of the week too. Might have to reserve the whole place with that many people though. Other than that there is always the usual list of suspects in Friday Harbor. The mexican joint and the brewery are a couple of the more gregarious places in town. Sorry I can’t think of any more spots but the island’s pretty quiet this time of year. Just the way I like it though. Hope you do too.

don't sweat the small stuff just put you're boat on a mooring bouy. Row in for the wedding and you can be back fishing the next tide change. Got to get things started off on the right foot. L O L

Don't do it with out some sort of stipulation about fishing in your wedding vowes. This is what I did and it has really saved me.

We are going to do the wedding at the chaple and then drive into friday habor for the dinner at the friday habor house restarant and stay at the hotel there. I got caught checking the tides for that day and its a no go. Her father fishes and I may talk him in to a charter trip the next monring as a wedding present if he can keep it a secret for his wife. prauy for us. also I have sent a letter to all family members that all toaste must be pre-submitted for approval for content to include language, truths, and family secrets.

sounds like you made the right choice, the lime kiln cafe is a small burger/sandwich joint located near the boat docks.
