Just an FYI to all those that fish north of the border, a pretty significant increase in license fees for freshwater anglers. A doubling of classified waters prices will add up for many anglers.

Don't know if the same is true for the salt licenses, but you can probably go the the BC Fisheries' site to find out if that's something you take part in.

The link for the freshwater rate listings:

Oh well, remember, it's still in Canadian funds wink beer

What do you mean its still in Canadian funds? So take $110 (license and salmon conservation) and take 60% of that? I thought we had to pay the list price? Little Confused. confused

Simply mean that the $$$ you pay don't really have the same meaning as they do in US $$$ ... yes, you pay what's listed wink

If you target steelhead you have to pay additional $60 regardless,

Bob,
What did we use to pay for clasified waters, I never paid much atention before.

I go up and fish about 14 days a year on the northren rivers, I guess it will add up a little this year.

I use to fish on the way down from Alaska, but now I come through to early, so I have to drive back up. You add up the cost of diesel at three dollars a gallon and the exchange rate is not as good as it use to be ( OUCH )

Still worth it though.
