I asked a question earlier to see how many fishermen would be willing to give up fishing opportunities to save wild salmon. I was amazed to find that some folks immediately assumed that I had a hidden agenda. I didn?t. I remain unconvinced that Washington Trout is right about hatchery smolts eating wild fish. Given what I know now I would not support the W.T. lawsuit. I am however interested in knowing how much we value wild fish. So here is another poll. If it angers you I suggest you go fishing. That usually calms me. If you can see through my attempted deception and know what my hidden agenda is, I suggest you immediately book an appointment with a shrink. ?Paranoia strikes deep. Into you life it will creep? I have no agenda, only curiosity.

Here's another question for your poll:

Do you think that all salmon and steelhead with adipose fins are wild?

Grandpa: That's an interesting question. My opinion is that not all fish with an adopoise fin are wild. i.e many tribal and federal hatcheries do not now clip all hatchery fish,. I understand that this will soon be mandated. If you want anyone else's opinion I suggest you set up a poll and ask them

My only question is what qualifies as "within reason"? I don't really expect a response, just wanted to point out that "within reason" can mean anything.....anything at all. beer
