I planned my summer to be free durring the first part of July for the sokeye opener, I've missed it the last three times!!! Has there been any predictions or forcasts on this fishery so far for this year? Jay ------------------------- There are some people that always look like they are in dire need of help. Winter steelhead fishermen are some of these people.

If we click our heels three times, and say I wish for a Sockeye season, I wish for Sockeye a season. It could happen again this year. you never know. If I'm right, this should be the year for them any ways. Last year was a fluke. I usually start checking counts around early June. By the middle of June you'll have an idea if there will be one. When I saw the counts last year in late June, I went and bought some gear just in case the counts got higher and what do you know it paid off.

Hey Spawnout, I've been thinking of doing the same, but am short on practical knowledge. I've done some research and have a few ideas, but if you care to share some tips I'm all ears. James
BTW, did you get your new boat? If so how is it?
