I will be in Ellensburg on May 2nd and 3rd. Is there anything happening on the Yakima at that time, and if so, where?

The Yakima has been fishing well with Skwala stoneflies and Baetis. I haven't heard of much March Brown activity yet. Unfortunately, it's been coming up fast with the weekend's warm weather and now the rain. I imagine that it's probably dirty below the mouth of the Teanaway but should be fishable (if high) around Cle Elum and above. It may improve quickly if the freezing level comes down as predicted.

Whoops, you said May and I was thinking April. Yeah, May can be one of the best months on the Yak if there's not too much runoff. The caddis should be hatching by that time, the PMD's should be beginning to hatch and there should still be plenty of Baetis around.
