I have had great luck with Yo-Zuri Line. It is a co-polymer and this line ihas a nylon core twice overcoated with Flourocarbon. It holds knots well and is duarble and castable. Siglon is another co-polymer line that has good castability.

I use Berkely Vison. It casts quite well and is abrasion resistant. I now have it on almost all my reels. I love it!

Curious to what the advantage would be to loading up a reel with flourocarboun.

All the stuff I have used has been pretty stiff, brittle, and holds a fair amount of memory

The Vision line, according to their brochure, was desiged for casting. I do not find it to be brittle nor does it have too much memory. It is more pricy than normal mono, but not a lot.

I still don't see what the advantage would bve to have it as a mainline, unless you are tying the hook directly to the mainline.

I agree with the other guys...flouro for leaders is great, but mainline? There are ways to attach leaders to mainline.

I wasted my money on the berkly vanish flourocarbin for mainline. Vanished it to the trash can after the first trip. Didnt like the feel of it. Lost a lot of fish because of lack of stretch in the line. Fish would hit it hard then rip the hooks at the same moment. I would use it as a leader only. Big advantages as a leader. But make sure you buy the leader stuff and not the stuff for mainline. I started using Izor line and really like the stuff and that is what I have been using as a mainline.

I am going to use it for bass fishing also. That is why I am interested in using it for mainline. It is easier than tying a blood knot to a leader. I'll use it for worms, jigs, etc. in clear water. Thanks for the input.

Personally I never use flourocarbon for main line only leaders...Have tried it and never seemed to make a difference..For leaders I use seagar.I think its the best made.I have tried all others and keep going back to seagar... TM
