I had the entire week off. Cancelled my trip to the coast because of the rising H20 on Monday. Still had time to fish the nooch and satsop - all spawners..... Needless to say, I decided to hit Barrier a couple days ago and I packed two rods, one for steelies, and one just in case I was lucky enough to encounter some springers. I got to the river and closed the door to my truck without noticing that my 10 foot shimano had slid into the crack of the door. CRACK! I slammed the door and shattered the top of the rod about 1" from the tip. My only option was my light action lami. I started fishing and picked up a dark steelie. On what turned out to be my last cast, I hooked into what I thought was a wad of line. I started pulling in the deadweight until three feet from my feet it decided to splash and take off. CRACK. My lami shattered right in the middle. I need to replace both of these rods quickly. I know lamiglas has a warranty and luckily I saved my receipt. Can I take it back to sportco and get a new one or do I have to mail it to Woodland and wait for them to send me one? WHat about my shimano. I have no receipt but is it fixable since it's right below the tip? Just one of those days
