I'm in my right mind and thank God daily that Bush is the president in these difficult times. It might have something to do with all the times Clinton let our countrymen die in terrorist attacks, then didn't do anything until he needed a distraction (anyone remember when he bombed Afghanistan and Sudan....)

Clinton, without hesitation. Far better politician (read: words can be more powerful than punches), much better handle (hell, any handle) on the economy, and the man loved the womenz. What more can you ask for? Besides, the man did not flat-out terrify me. So there. I don't like you either. Na-na-na-na-na. Tight lines all the same Back Eddy

Bush. Easy.
I really didn't care for any of Clinton's policies. Plus, the fact that you couldn't believe anything he said really turned me off.

BBVD - As you get older and wiser you will realize that ones political outlook is a very poor basis to determine their worth as a friend. I think George W. Bush is one of the worst Presidents in my lifetime. Now, if I chose my friends based upon only those folks that agreed with me, I would have an awfully short list of friends - I do indeed believe the polls that say the President's approval rating is up above 70 or 80%. The beauty of living in an open and free society is that there is at least 4 sides to any question!! I salute your passion but you may want to temper that passion by trying to look into peoples hearts, not how they vote. My 2 cents.

Bill clinton was in no way ever concerned about the enviroment. that was gores pet project. Clintons concern with the enviroment was how many votes he could squeeze out of the green party. How any fisherman or hunter could back bill clinton or that crazy gore is beyond me. Gore and peta and the seirra club want to out law guns, fishing, hunting, motor boats, hatcheries and yes even fly fishing. The goal of the enviromental movement is to stop any one but them from going in to the enviroment. Al (what money from what preist) gore wants to give control of all are national parks to the un. dont laugh many nations already have. check national geographic artical on vetinam national parks. peta has already stopped hunting in some state parks and is now going after fishing in state parks. how anyone can before the one side view point of how to control are wildland is beyond me. many of the laws and regulations struck down by bush were done so becouse they were wrong and destrutive. How much of are forest must we let burn before the left will amitt that selective cutting is needed in order to maintane a healthy and productive forest. I go to bcc collage and rececived extra credit to attend a speach on the enviroment. it turned out to be a political action meeting complete with phone #s emails and faxes of congress men to call and a little printed speach to read to them. the pictures that they showed of the destrutive forest practices where all 40 years old.. I have seen these same pictures a million time over the last 30 years. The facts they quated where all from old report and only from eniromental groups. I was embaressed not only for the guy giving the talk but for the saps that were buying it. the enviroment is a managable renewable resouse and should be traeated as such. we can not have commerical and sport fishing with out hatcheries. becouse we have had poor managment and bad ideas on how to run hatchiers is no reason to close them. The serria club and washinton trout want them closed so they can list the salmon as endagered so we can not fish. its sounds silly but thats the truth. any one who buys in to the wild vs hatchery bull is leading tham selfs by the nose in to a wold with out fishing. try this idea. if hactchery fish are becoming a different breed becouse we only breed hatchary returns , then why not only use wild stock every year in are breeding programs. sound like that would do away with the gene drift. like I said just becouse we dont do the best job now deos not mean we cant do the best tomorrow.

I prefer a president that actually knows what continent most countires are located on, can complete a sentence and does not want to trash the environment just to keep his big oil buddies happy. Actually, Clinton and Bush had a lot in common. Clinton smoked dope. Bush is an alcoholic who used cocaine. Clinton dodged the draft. Bush got his daddy to find him a slot in the guard, then disappeared for six months. A huge diffrence was that Clinton was a Rhoades scholar, while the shrub openly brags about his mediocre grades and makes fun of "intellectuals". Bush is opposed to affirmative action, but gained admittance to Yale solely on his daddys influence. He would have never been admitted on his grades. Who was most honest? Here's a list of Bush Jr. campaing promises vs what he actually did. http://www.house.gov/appropriations_democrats/caughtonfilm.htm I beleive that a persons worth as a friend has very little to do with theri beliefs. My best friend is a vary right wing conservative . We get along fine. We respect the others views. I certainly would never exclude a person as a friend based upon their politics. But I sure would avoid someone who thinks that all their friends must beleive the same as they do.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

So why are we having this conversation ? Bush is the President and Clinton isn't.
I think maybe it's time to get used to it and worry about the next election rather than past Presidents.
The real funny part is that everybody has an opinion on this President or that one, yet only 50-60% of the population actually votes.

Gawd, I wish people would get off this "Bash Clinton" kick. I guess it makes you feel like "one of the gang." Try forming an original, informed opinion for a change. He's already going down in history as the biggest scapegoat of all time. But at least when he was in office I actually had a retirement fund I could count on. Had a hell of a lot more money in the bank then, too. Personally, I couldn't care any less who has sex with whom in the White House. And who can name me a presidential administration that hasn't lied to the public in the last 100 years? Hell, ANY politician for that matter. They're all going to tell you whatever you want to hear. Originally posted by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy: I want only the people who say "Clinton" on this poll to post any thoughts. That way I know whos posts to ignore later on. I figure this is the easiest way of finding out who i dont like. You know, I only thought you were immature and ill informed, but when you type stuff like that you remove all doubt. Go ahead and move me to the top of your "Don't Like" and "Ignore" list; I wouldn't say anything you'd understand anyway.

You know how to tell a REALLY smart person goharley? He's the one who realizes how LITTLE he actually knows. Its funny how those that claim to be such "free thinkers" seem to think their own ideas are so well thought out, yet those who oppose them are all sheep. As if to be introspective you must be in the minority on a political topic. Its really kind of cute if you think about it.... But then again, what do I know?

Many things about Clinton I didn't personally care for at all. But his total disregard for how the public viewed the Office he held astounded me. Half the things he 'pulled' would get you fired from your job just for thinking of doing them. And as an Atty. lieing to a Federal Judge? "Depends upon what your definition of 'is,' is?" If you pulled that stunt, high probability you'd spend a few nights in the 'gray bar hotel.' But then again, your not the President.
