Anyone have a good place to get a travel/storage cover for a drift boat made in the seattle area? Have a 15ft DB that I want to cover while being stored/ in transit. Dealer wants $420 for a cover, I've got to think they can be made for much cheaper than that.

SH,

I picked up a new cover this year for my 16ft Gregor. Not quite the same boat, but Boaters World in Everett has probably 3-4 different varieties in a dozen lengths and shapes. I bet you could find one that would work for you there that is trailerable and durable. If you talked to Akkings I bet he could point you in the right direction, even if not at his store.

We sell a Road Warrior brand cover for a drift boat that runs $169, not sure if we currently have 1 in stock, I can let you know tomorrow.

you get what you pay for when it comes to a good boat cover. Any cheap one will be fine in the driveway, but flying down the freeway is where you see what you wound up with. Just my 2cents. A good cover for a 21 foot jet boat can cost 1000 bucks and worth every penny. The same shop that we deal with makes drift boat covers also and they run more than 300 bucks.

If you don't find the one you are wanting please let me know and I can put you in touch with my son and he can make you a very good one. Designed to fit your boat only.

Olympia area.

Check out "started my boat top project today" I have posted on Piscatorial Pursuits.

These a quality ones and you won't get them for low prices. Mine should be done next week.

Down in the Graham area is Craig's Custom Boat Tops and Upholstery. Ive had him do a cover for my Almar sled, my Willie drifter and replace my drop curtains on my Trophy. His work is very good and he stands by it. He patched a hole my big C anchor made in the sled cover for no charge. He stays busy and will, like his name says, custom make anything. He was making some covers for somekind of floating pontoon thing last time I stopped by his place. His phone number is 253 847 1758. I have no axe to grind here just recommending a guy who is staight up.
