Does anyone have any reports on the salmon,rockfish, and ling cod fishing? What about shrimping? Thanks in advance!

Very few rockfish left in the San Jauns. Some pockets north of Waldron. But they are pretty much wiped out. Between the trawlers and us soprtsmen harvesting waaaay to many for waaaaay to long we did them in.

Well not exactly but if you think I'm going to divulge my secret spots you are in for a long wait. I personally blame the long liners who can fish 365 days a year if they wanted to. mad mad mad

Lings open May 1 and I will be their for sure. Released some nice ones during BM season. Lots of good sized lings!

If you've got any darts or stinger type lures try those if your fishing in shallow water. Also any type of leadhead with rubber skirt combos will work. Color does'nt seem to matter too much if they are actively feeding. Best thing to use are live shrimp behind a crescent sinker right on the bottom. Herring comes in a close second. smile
