The fraser river opens on may 1 for chinook retention from the railway bridge at mission upstream to the pipeline crossing below hope and from the hwy bridge at hope upstream to the alexander bridge. There has been really good (for this time of year) chinook fishing off the mouth of the river and bar fishermen and the flossing/snaggers have been getting fish at herrling island and other locations.

what pound line have they been using? how big is the avg fish? are there any campgrounds in the area close to the fraser, never been there, but would like to do some canadian fishing..

ok, i guess i dont want to hear the whimpering, i guess the kings wont put up a fuss, id rather fish for them, plus they dont back talk..and say eh' what'd you do that for? now if i can only get thru the border confused

there was at least 3 fish caught at the mouth of the vedder/chillawack before the guys I know left at 7.00am. So it appears that there are a few fish around.
