I looking for some location info on westport halibut. This will be my first season out and any help would be great. I have found plenty of info on other places( neah bay,sekiu ect) but not westport. Due to the wdfw and my work schedule sunday is the only day for me to get out or else I would probably head towards neah bay. Thanks in advance.

The NOAA site is always a good bet. http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/seattle/ Just click and go anywhere. Then you can get bouy information too at http://seaboard.ndbc.noaa.gov/Maps/Northwest.shtml

Tough to find reports. halibut.net is pretty interesting.

I was in Westport yesterday, looking for business. I talked to a few folks who fished, and two charter boat captains I know, and all said they did quite well yesterday.
