Rather than use the plastic clevis that allows you to change blades on spinners, here is how you can make them yourself and have a far more secured blade that probably wont give your blade to the river gods. Sorry for the poor quality of photos, I missed the macro button when I was taking the photo. frown

First twist an eye in the wire near one end


Then twist the longer leg around the short leg several times


Then cut off the eye and remove the wire from the center of the coil spring you created


Bend the remaining tail around into a clip and trim excess

It greatly helps to use a size wire larger on the clevis than the body of the spinner so the hole thru the clevis is large enough to allow the blade to spin freely.
